This frog is a small homage to one of the artists that has infiltrated the artists brainspace more than any other. MC Escher is best known for his mind-bending perspective drawings and for his instinctive understanding of complex mathematical patterns that unfold in nature. His view is that this comprehension wasn’t just some kind of anomaly, but a result of deep observation and study. One of his favourite pieces by MC Escher is his “Mummified Frog” which is so very organic and opposite to many of his well-known complex, structural pieces.
